Months 10 & 11

Things have been a little crazy in RhinoLand these days. In case you hadn't heard, we're in the process of moving to beautiful, exotic Altus, Oklahoma! Amidst the chaos of the past few weeks, the blog has been a little . . . well . . . neglected. But since we're quickly rounding the corner to Sadie's first birthday, I thought you might like a little update on all the princess has been up to lately. So without further adieu . . .

November brought a blizzard to Puyallup. And by blizzard, I mean three inches of snow. But that was enough to pretty much incapacitate the entire Seattle metro area for a few days. We pretty much stayed around the house for most of that time, but did bundle up a couple of times to enjoy Sadie's first snowfall!

One of Sadie's newest activities is emptying out "her" drawer in the kitchen. She has a great time playing with all the tupperware and sippy cups, and it usually buys me a few minutes in which I can get a few things around for dinner. We're still working on cleaning up, though . . . apparently putting things away isn't nearly as entertaining.

Our big girl outgrew her carseat! Yeah, she's really that big . . . someone actually asked me the other day if she was two. Seriously?! She's not that big, but still . . . Anyway, she's very proud of her new one, and is riding much more comfortably these days.

Reading the instructions for her new seat. Safety first!

Opening an early Christmas present from Papa and Grandma Rhinesmith. Just like her mama, the girl loves presents!

Celebrating her first Thanksgiving with Grandma . . .

. . . and Papa Rhinesmith!

Checking out ZooLights at the Tacoma Zoo.

Sadie has taken quite an interest in her baby dolls, and loves to give them lots of hugs and kisses . . . and then pound their hard, plastic heads on the hardwood floor. Oops!

She's also quite the stair climber these days, and makes the trek up (we're still working on dow) about 10 times a day, giving her - and me! - a great workout!

Sweet, sweet girl . . .

Looking out the perfect, Sadie-sized window, waving to all the cars . . . she's quite the welcome wagon!
